#ONESHOT is a worldwide hair awards contest open to all licensed professional hairstylists, cosmetologists and barbers (where licenses are applicable) and all currently-enrolled cosmetology students worldwide.

The contest is FREE to enter.

All work entered must have been created by the hairdresser submitting it and the hairdresser must own (or have obtained) the rights to enter the work into the competition.

Any filters, retouches, color balancing, cloning or use of AI that visibly alters the style, shape or color of an entry will result in the entry being disqualified.

All work being entered must have been CREATED within the following dates:

HOT SHOT:
Created between March 5, 2024 – March 31, 2025

BIG SHOT:
Created between April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025

All entries must be posted on Instagram between January 7, 2025 – March 31, 2025.

All entries must be uploaded to OneShotHairAwards.com between January 7, 2025- March 31, 2025.

A total of 3 (three) entries per category may be submitted.

Each entry may only be submitted to ONE hair color, hair cutting or styling category. Examples below:

• You may not submit the same entry to both “Blonde” & “Platinum.”
• You may not submit the same entry to both “Shag” & “Bob/Lob.”

However, the same entry may be submitted in a single hair color, hair cutting and/or styling category.

• You may submit the same entry to both “Blonde” & “Shag.”
• You may submit the same entry to both “Platinum” & “Special Event.”

Post (or repost) entries to Instagram:

• Every entry must be posted (or reposted) between the dates of Jan 7, 2025 – March 31st, 2025.
• Only 3 entries per category may be submitted.
• Each entry must be posted to Instagram individually. Do not place all 3 entries into a single carousel.
• For all Collection & Salon Decor categories, each entry should include 3 images in a carousel.
• Place the corresponding hashtag(s) in the caption (only) for each entry.
• Overlays are recommended but not required. Overlays are available in your account here!

Submit your entries to OneShotHairAwards.com:

• Create a FREE account on OneShotHairAwards.com.
• If you participated in #ONESHOT in 2024, you will already have an account.
• Next, complete the #ONESHOT 2025 entry form.
• Then, begin to upload entries:
  • First, select the categories in which you will be entering entries.
  • Upload ONLY those images posted to Instagram.
  • Please upload only clean hair images without the #ONESHOT overlay.
  • Only 3 entries per category will be accepted.
  • Follow prompts to upload your entries and also to add in your IG links for each respective entry.
  • Video category uploads will require an image upload to be used as the “cover shot” of your video for all print purposes, but the link should go to the IG post of the video itself.
  • Click submit at the bottom of the page.

You may update your entries until March 31, 2025.

For collaboration entries, please identify the collaborator by searching for the handle in the space provided. That person must also have an account on OneShotHairAwards.com.
